July2015_BUSINESS RECOGNITION AWARD 2015 – Dayboro Bakery

Peter Dutton MP presented the Business Recognition Award for 2015 to a very proud Virginia and Scott Wiggins, Dayboro Bakery.

The Dayboro Bakery provides support for the Dayboro Day Festival with prizes for the Kids Passport to Fun and the delicious pies for Pineapple Pie Eating Competition.  BUT . . That is not why they received the Business Recognition Award on Dayboro Day 2015.

They also sponsor and support many other local events like the monthly markets, Police Trivia night and the many fundraisers for our clubs and organisations.

This includes donating food parcels to the Churches on a weekly basis.  Some of it is used for morning tea (Conversations Club) and the rest they give to the families who are ‘doin’ it tough’ via the Dayboro Combined Churches Community Chest.

Dayboro Bakery employ locals, but they support our local emergency services with discounted prices.  They sponsor local the Dayboro Footy Club with jerseys and also donate to the “Goose Club’ and Friday night meals held by the club.  Dayboro Bowls Club receives support with bread for their Friday fortnightly meals and also sponsoring of the bowls days.

We also enjoy being served by their cheerful front counter staff – local residents that are happy to be able to work within our community.  Sitting at those tables and chairs provided along the verandah, customers enjoy a view of the township whilst indulging in a cuppa or cold drink and those yummy bakery goodies.

Congratulations Scott and Virginia Wiggins of Dayboro Bakery.  Your efforts are appreciated.
