July2014_STEPPING UP FOR THE SHOW

A garden party on the 31 May was the scene of the judging of Miss Junior Showgirl, Rural Ambassador and Miss Showgirl for 2014 . After last year’s record number of entries in Miss Showgirl, it was suggested we extend the competition.  

The five contestants were out on parade on Dayboro Day promoting July’s show. With three Junior contestants (Kimberly Groat, Kasey Rosenlund and Sinead Adcock) judging was done by interview and observation.  The winners in all categories were announced at the garden party.  They were: Sinead Adcock as Miss Junior Showgirl, Chloe Adcock as Miss Showgirl and Amy Noonan as Rural Ambassador. The guest judges were very impressed by the standard of the participants, their local knowledge and dedication to the community. 

Chloe and Amy will represent Dayboro at the Near North Coast sub-chamber judging on the 28 June at Maleny. 

 

All the participants will be at the show helping to make it a success. Dayboro AH& I Association appreciates their commitment to the show.  These young women reassure us that the future is in good hands.
