July2014_Dayboro Tennis Club News
WOW, What a Fantastic Dayboro Day Festival.
We had so much fun with our Active Challenge, although there were some very competitive people trying to prove themselves as the Fittest & Fastest!
It was a great opportunity for us to provide some active play on the courts. The Speed Radar proved to be a hit with everyone.
This was the first time DTC has been on the Kids Passport, and with 400 kids bags to fill I think we managed it. Thank you to the Dayboro Festival Committee for letting us be a part of this.
We would like to thank a few people for helping us throughout Dayboro Day:
– Tennis Queensland and Terry the Tennis Ball for all of their contributions, from the 400 gifts to the Radar and games;
– Matchpoint for their Active Challenge Prizes;
– Our WONDERFUL COMMITTEE, who plan, prepare and help on the day. Your tireless dedication for this communities Tennis Club is something to be envied. We are so lucky to have you (and your families) volunteering your skills and time;
– Thank you also to everyone who came by our stall and the courts for your support. We hope you enjoyed the day as much as we did.
Now that Dayboro Day 2014 is over, it is time to get ready for Wimbledon.
Each year our club holds a FREE FAMILY DAY with Jumping Castle, Mini Tennis, Active Games and a Wimbledon themed Tennis Competition.
This year Wimbledon comes to Dayboro on Saturday 26th July.
We want to make this year bigger than ever. There will be prizes for Best Fancy Dress, Raffles, BBQ, Music and more.
If you are part of a business or a club you should enter a doubles team (or 2).
Maybe you want to get your business / club involved in the day some other way. Contact us at dayborotennis@gmail.com
