PRESIDENT-AT-HOME (PAH):  President Lorraine Petroff enjoyed her day on 4 June 2014.  Our member Sheila Close embroidered hand towels for the spider prizes and these were won by Graeme Hayes (Men’s Secretary) and Sheila.  Sheila very generously donated her prize back to President Lorraine.  The Brisbane North District Ladies Bowling Association (BNDLBA) attended with President Judith Wembreck, Secretary Pam, Treasurer Susanne and Vice President Ralda enjoying a game with us.  BNDLBA President Judith is our member Kerri-Lee Suter’s grandmother, and it was great they could enjoy the day together.  Kerri-Lee won one of our raffles on the day, with Ralda BNDLBA and Desley, Dayboro also winners.
MATRIARCH (90 YEARS) BADGE:  Our Life Member Gloria Nugent was 90 years young on 1 May this year.  As she is still a member of our Club this entitled her to a Matriarch Badge.  Gloria was invited to attend President Lorraine’s PAH day and it was with pleasure that President Lorraine was able to present the Matriarch Badge to Gloria.  As the BNDLBA President Judith was in attendance she was also delighted to present Gloria with some special gifts of her own.

ANNUAL GENERAL MEETING will be held on Wednesday, 13 August 2014 at 9.30am.
PENNANTS:  Once again this year we are able to compete in the District Pennants.  We have 2 teams in Division 3 and 2 teams in Division 4.  Good luck to all teams.
WEDNESDAY BOWLS:  Ladies day but men are welcome.  9am morning tea.  9.30am play.  $5 to play.  BYO lunch.  If you would like to come along and try the game of lawn bowls, bowls can be provided, just wear flat shoes.
