The 2013 Dickson Seniors’ Expo will be held at the Strathpine Community Centre, Mecklem Street, Strathpine on Monday 5th and Tuesday 6th August.

Monday 5th August 9am – 2.30pm

Tuesday 6th August 8.30am – 2pm.

The Expo is a great opportunity for retired, or about to retire seniors, to access information on activities  and services available in the community.  More than 50 businesses and not-for-profit organisations are represented.
Exhibits include:
 Retirement Villages
 Seniors Social Clubs, hobbies and fitness
 Travel opportunities
 Federal, State and Local Governments Services
 Advice on numerous health issues
This year will be the 10th Anniversary of the Dickson Seniors Expo and promises to be one to remember.  Ita Buttrose AO OBE, 2013 Australian of the Year and National President of Alzheimer’s Australia, will be  opening the Expo and the Keynote speaker at the event.  Noel Whittaker AM, Finance expert will also be speaking at the Expo.
Detective Superintendent Brian Hay from the Queensland Police Service Fraud and Corporate Crime Group will update us and Russell from Theo’s Nursery will be offering plenty of gardening advice.
ENTRY IS FREE:  Lucky door prizes to be won;  Interesting and informative speakers on a variety of subjects; and Fashion parades by Fashions on the Go and Lowes Menswear.
Plenty of Entertainment- something for everyone, so bring along your dancing shoes!  The Get Rhythm Dance Team will be there to delight us with their moves.
Complimentary sample bags, lucky door prizes and much more!

This year a Free Shuttle Bus will be running to and from the Expo every half hour from Westfield Strathpine bus stop area.
Refreshments and off street parking available.
