WEDNESDAY BOWLS: 9am morning tea, and play 9.30am. BYO lunch. $5 to play. Everyone welcome. JUNE FINANCIAL DAY: This day was generously sponsored by Live Life Villages – the closest Village being at Samford if you need to check these out. Noela Hennant’s Brighton team were the winners on the day, and Colin French’s Dayboro team were runners-up. There was a Mystery Prize on the day which went to Carmen Bateman. Fruit and Vegetable raffles went to Margaret Cullen and Robyn Gielys. Our 2 raffle prizes went to Norma Butler and Eric Cullen.
It was a special occasion for 2 of our members. They were surprised when Noela Graham, President of the Brisbane North District Ladies Bowling Association, attended and presented both Norma Butler and Edna Wruck with 25 Year Meritorious Awards for continuous years holding positions in the Club. This was one job that our present President, Sheila Close, wanted to have happen whilst she was still in the position of President. Well done Norma and Edna.
