July2011_GREEN GETS THUMBS UP THROUGH REGIONAL AWARDS

The Peabody Environment & Landcare Award will recognise environmental leaders within our community through this year’s Queensland Regional Achievement & Community Awards.
There are many individuals and organisations contributing positively to reducing environmental impacts and raising awareness, knowledge and understanding on landcare in regional and rural Queensland.   The Regional Achievement & Community Awards will also be calling for nominations in the following categories:
The Salvation Army Employment Plus Employment & Training Award
The Flight Centre Events & Tourism Award
The Clark Rubber Regional Service Award
The Peabody Environment & Landcare Award
The Prime Super Community of the Year Award
This years Queensland Regional Achievement & Community Awards is asking locals to look around and seek out those individuals, landcare groups and environmental projects educating others on our precious resources and the importance of sustaining and improving patterns of consumption, and environmental behavior within their local community.
As the prize patrons WIN Television and the Commonwealth Bank are awarding three winners with a $2,500 Debit Mastercard Account and WIN Television will Award two winners with Television Advertising Packages.  One of the five award winners will be named “The Commonwealth Bank Special Commendation award winner” and will receive an additional $2,500 thanks to the Commonwealth Bank.
WIN Television are proud to be able to seek out and reward our locals through this year’s Queensland Regional Achievement & Community Awards. The Awards are proudly supported by the Sirommet Wines and Queensland Country Life.
