Dayboro Police Charity Trivia Night

The annual Dayboro Police CHARITY TRIVIA NIGHT will be held on Friday the 20th of August 2010 at the Dayboro Rugby League Club.  Last year’s trivia night was a huge success with over $2000 being raised for the Dayboro Police Charity Fund.  This year the event will be held to raise funds for local 7 yr old Bonnie Maeve O’NIELL who has been challenging a bone and soft tissue tumour since May 2007. Some of the funds raised on the night will go directly towards erecting a pool deck around Bonnie’s above ground pool which was donated by Make a Wish Foundation earlier this year.  There are only 20 tables available on the night so bookings are essential. 8 players per team/table at $120 per table ($15 pp.) which includes 10 games of trivia, possible prizes and a platter of finger food per table.  Bookings can be made at the Dayboro Police Station and all table fees must be paid upfront at the time of booking/registering.  This event will sell out fast so get in quick!
Dayboro Police Community Sign
The Dayboro police community sign has been erected outside the police station.  The Dayboro Police Charity Fund, Apex Dayboro and the Dayboro District Progress Assoc. funded the construction of the sign and its installation.  Dayboro police would like to acknowledge and thank Apex Dayboro and DDPA for their support and financial assistance regarding this community based project.  It will be used to display community and police based messages.  If residents have a community based messages they wish to display on the sign, application can be made to Dayboro police.
Traffic Crashes
On the 6th and 11th of June there were two vehicle crashes in the Dayboro police division.  Both of these resulted in occupants being injured.  Dayboro Police are urging all drivers to drive with care on our roads, obey the speed limit and expect the un-expected.  Because Dayboro is a semi rural area, stock, including cows and horses, often escape from their paddocks and graze on the road sides, posing a high risk to passing motorists.  Please be aware.

Stay safe
