Feb2015_Samford and Dayboro Support Network News
The “fledgling” Dayboro Support Network and the Samford Support Network would like to wish one and all a Happy New Year!
Our recent meetings in November/ December were very successful. We were able to spread the word about our many and varied services available to all ages and to meet up with other local support groups within our community.
If you are aware of anyone who requires assistance such as transport to and from hospital or a doctor’s appointment, or people who may have moved away from Dayboro and would still like to attend social functions in Dayboro or nearby communities and cannot drive her/himself, then please do not hesitate to contact us. We are a group of local volunteers operating in the Dayboro area. The Samford and Dayboro Support Networks are covering the area around both villages and in between. It doesn’t matter if you need temporary support or general support. We are here to help. Many of our volunteers are volunteers with the Bardon based community organisation, Communify Qld. Communify sponsor and organise the majority of the driving services but also some other services.
Our services are only possible due to our wonderful volunteers. If you want to help and are interested in becoming part of a great team operating under a very flexible system please give us a call and find out more. So if you have a few free hours to spare (you will be reimbursed for your fuel) then please contact Barbara on 0451 052 127 or Gabrielle on 0437 087 916 who will provide the necessary information.
Barbara,
President,
