Feb2014_LETTERS TO THE EDITOR
Letter 1. A thank you
Letter 2. A complaint.
Dear Editor,
A very special “Thank You” note for the observant and thoughtful neighbor who, last Monday 6th January, at the time of a fierce storm rang to report a fire in our farm pump shed. The power board was the victim of a nasty lightening strike which hit the power lines and followed them to the end of the line. The power-board was destroyed and, without the prompt attention of the Rural Fire people who attended, the fire would have spread to both the electric motor and the pump shed itself. Both were saved.
Our sincere and grateful thanks go to all those involved.
Mary Rowley and
Pat Rowley.
Dear Editor,
It was at a gathering in our Estate that some parents approached Bob Millar about a place to cross or a refuge island on Dayboro Road for their children who went to Dayboro Primary School. That was TEN years ago. Those children now drive cars and we are still waiting. And don’t get me started on the state of, or lack of, Footpaths in and around Dayboro.
Still waiting,
Nola Rankin
Saddleback Drive, Dayboro.
