Feb2011 Unitywater accounts
. . . should have been received by now
Unitywater’s Moreton Bay customers should have received their third quarterly accounts. These accounts detail customers’ water usage; fixed water and sewerage access charges; and have “Unitywater Update” enclosed.
Unitywater CEO Jon Black said that while the account billing period was not ideal for customers experiencing the effects of extreme weather conditions in South East Queensland, a Customer Response Team has been established and is assisting customers directly affected by the recent extreme weather and flooding in the Moreton Bay and Sunshine Coast service regions.
“Unitywater’s Hardship and Payment Plans are also available for these customers. Our team will assess applications for these plans on a case-by-case basis to help ease pressure for our customers in these extremely stressful times.
As a result of feedback received by customers, Unitywater has also made small changes to the way information is displayed on the account to make it easier for customers to read and understand important information.
A Community Information Day for Unitywater’s Moreton Bay customers was scheduled for Saturday 15 January 2011 however was postponed due to the extreme weather experienced in South East Queensland. The event will be rescheduled at a later date (in March 2011).
Moreton Bay Regional Council’s subsidy and additional rebates for customers including eligible pensioners will continue to apply to Unitywater accounts. These will be itemised on accounts as ‘Rebates’.
