Feb2011 BUSHCARE VOLUNTEERS WELCOME
Moreton Bay Regional Council is calling on residents with an interest in the environment to join one of its many Bushcare teams in the region.
Bushcare groups help with tree-planting, mulching, habitat creation and weed and plant identification around bushland, wetlands and waterways.
These dedicated volunteer groups are making a real impact to the quality and aesthetic value of our natural areas.
It is a great way to help the local environment while exercising and socialising with like-minded people from your own area.
At the same time the work of the Bushcare groups is making a real difference in various neighbourhoods and this is very satisfying for the volunteers.
The Bushcare groups will become active from the first weekend in February and people wishing to offer their services can contact council’s Bushcare officers on 3205 0555 or visit www.moretonbay.qld.gov.au for upcoming activity dates and locations.
