Aspiring musicians living in the Moreton Bay Region have the chance to play a career boosting gig on the main stage at Caboolture’s Urban County Music Festival – on Saturday May 4, 2013.

Moreton Bay Regional Council Mayor Allan Sutherland said to celebrate the 10th anniversary of the festival, one band would win a slot on the main stage alongside some of the hottest names in country music.
"For an up and coming group, the chance to play at Urban Country is the perfect way to showcase your talent to thousands of ardent music fans," Mayor Sutherland said.
"It’s a rare opportunity, to share the stage with a number of country music greats like Lee Kernaghan, John Williamson and Troy Cassar-Daley.”
Mayor Sutherland said there was no time like the present to kick-start your band’s career.
“I’m encouraging all bands that call the Moreton Bay Region home to get involved and upload their best track for a chance to win.
“It has been competitions like this one that have seen a number of bands embark on nationwide tours – and now it’s your turn,” Mayor Sutherland said
