Families flock to John Scott Park
Samford’s John Scott Park is proving a popular picnic spot, with families flocking to the park to enjoy the upgraded facilities.
The newly revamped park, which was officially opened last month, features walkways with sleeper inlays and shelters similar to historic railway station buildings.

The $450,000 council-funded park upgrade features a new playground with a train for children to play on and picnic facilities for families to use.
Division 11 Councillor Bob Millar said it was good to see so many families making use of the new and improved park.
“It’s great to see families getting out to enjoy this fantastic recreational area in Samford,” Cr Millar said.
“John Scott Park is not only an important open space for Samford residents but also a popular destination for visitors.”
