On August 13th 2016, Healthy Waterways and Catchments will host a fencing workshop for landholders in the Dayboro area, with engineer and fence design innovator Ian Bell.
Ian has worked across the country on this issue and will share a lot of great information on the day about layout and fencing styles for different property types, as well as flood proof fencing.
Apanie Wood from Healthy Waterways and Catchments said that this workshop is suitable for landholders with any size property and for people with livestock, particularly close to waterways.
Fencing allows land managers to manage paddocks and high traffic areas, especially along waterways, giving grasses a chance to recover. Coupled with strategic grazing, this can help manage weeds and prevent creek banks from becoming degraded and eroded.
