Dec2014_SOCCER NEWS

Does your child have energy to burn?
Do they enjoy kicking a ball around?

Then soccer is the game for them.  The Dayboro Dingoes Soccer Club will be holding their sign-on for the 2015 season on Sunday 8th February.  The Dingoes encourage both boys and girls from U/6 – U/15 to join them for the 2015 playing season.

A free sausage sizzle will be running on the day and uniforms will be available for purchase.  Those registering for the first time are politely requested to bring along a copy of their birth certificate.
Try Before You Buy Session
If you think your child might like soccer but are not sure whether to commit for a whole season, why not bring them along to our ‘try before you buy’ session.  This will be held on Wednesday 4th February from 3:30 – 4:30 at the Colin Thiele Field.  At this session some of our coaches will be running basic soccer drills and mini-games and children from U6 – U15 who haven’t played the world game before are invited to come along and have a go.

2015 Playing Season….Here are the facts:
The season runs from approximately early March until late August.
In 2015 training for U6 – U9 will be held on Wednesday afternoons at the Colin Thiele Field; other age groups yet to be confirmed.  As a general rule all teams train for one hour, one day a week.
U/6 – U11 play every Saturday and U/12 and above play every Sunday.
All age groups generally play at home every second weekend.
Dayboro teams are usually mixed gender.
Cheapest Fees In Brisbane!
The Dayboro Dingoes pride themselves on having the cheapest fees for any soccer club in the Brisbane and Moreton Bay Region (see web-site for more details).   Our cheap club fees get you a club shirt and a season full of fun.   If you decide Soccer is the game for your child, you will also need to purchase a playing strip which the club sells for a nominal cost and in addition, each week your child plays, you will be required to play a $5 match fee.
Over 35s Men’s Team….Are you In?
The senior Dayboro men’s team joined with Samford at the beginning of 2014 to form a Samford/Dayboro over 35’s team. This was because the Dayboro team did not have enough numbers to field a full strength squad. The team competed successfully in the North Brisbane competition playing predominately on Friday nights and some Sunday afternoons in Dayboro.
The over 35’s competition has special rules aimed at protecting players from injury such as the “No Slide Tackle Rule”.
If you are male, over 35 years of age, reasonably fit, have some soccer experience or football experience from another code and you would like to socialise with a great bunch of guys then please email Scott Price at sapricey@hotmail.com to register your interest ASAP.
We require around 8-9 new players to field a full Dayboro side and as a result of the large British ex-pat community and retired league players sitting back increasing their waistlines in the region this should certainly be attainable.
The Dayboro Dingoes is the smallest soccer club in the north-Brisbane region delivering the Dayboro community the opportunity to play the biggest game on the planet.  There’s a simple reason soccer is the world’s most popular game and that is ……..kids have fun playing soccer…and old fellas do too!
