Dec2010 LEADERSHIP LEARNING
Enhance your leadership skills through an intensive training program being offered by Moreton Bay Regional Council and Volunteering Queensland.
Lifestyle and Amenity Spokesman David Dwyer said the program was designed for people who were active in the youth sector, community services, the environment, sports and recreation or cultural fields.
“The six days of training, to be held between February and May next year, will cover a wide range of skills and knowledge,” he said.
“The training will give leaders and potential leaders a chance to brush up on their knowledge of strategic planning, event management, effective promotion, group problem solving, understanding and managing growth and recruiting and retaining volunteers.
“The spaces available are limited, but if you think you’d like to be involved, find out more by emailing communityworkshops@moretonbay.qld.gov.au or phoning 3205 0555 by Friday, 17 December.”
