Dec2010 CAROLS UNDER THE BIG TREE
December 12, 2010
The Carols under the BIG tree is on again this year, with everything running as per usual i.e. on the second Sunday in December, with the same venue and format.
To be fair to residents who have not previously attended this event where everyone gathers in the paddock with the huge tree bedecked with lights that can be seen for miles, here are the details of what goes on.
Carols under the BIG tree will be held on the second Sunday of December, i.e. 12th December, starting with a Barbeque from 4.30 pm. We anticipate SANTA will arrive at about 6.30 pm and the CAROLS will start at 7pm.
This year Alec Burns from Samford will be leading the singing and we hope he will be ably assisted by his sister from Closeburn and also Chris Whight from Mt Samson. The Dayboro Lions club will be present to lend a hand, with Stu as M.C.
The local cockatoos have given us a hand by chewing through some of the light cables so we’ve had to replace the lights that that could be accessed. We all expect a great night and look forward to everyone enjoying themselves.
Please BYO food to cook, chairs or rug and a candle. We will supply the bbq’s, gas, song sheets, tree and paddock.
