Dec12_CAROLS BY CANDLELIGHT
Under the Big Tree
Sunday 16th December 2012
Come and enjoy the warmth and fun of this bush-style annual tradition.
Samsonvale big pine tree, (the one with lights that you can see from the Samford-Dayboro main road) is on Ian Kent’s farm.
Entry is via Basin Road.
We have been stormed out the past 2 year’s so are rearing to make it happen this time. Our lights are all strung up the tree again and we turn them on again on Dec 1st. They can still be seen over a huge area, and as usual we will hold our night on the Sunday after school breaks up – that is on December 16th.
Our B-B-Q’s will be available for families to cook their snags and steaks from 4.30pm, before SANTA makes his appearance at about 6pm.
After we wave him goodbye we will light our candles and begin the carols, again lead by Chris with his lovely baritone voice and probably finishing around 9pm.
We are looking forward to seeing everyone with their rugs/chairs, food, candles, and voices for a great family night.
Dayboro Lions are again assisting with running this event.
BYO food, chairs, rugs, torches, candles, kids and singing voices.
BBQ available – Lit at 4:30pm
Santa arrives around 6:00pm.
