The ride last month was the fifteenth time we have done this ride that we now call the Graham Court Memorial Ride. Graham organised this ride in his first year as a member and each time as the ride drew near he would take his powerful 4wd tractor up the steep track to Mt Mee Road, so that we had fairly good surface to come down on, although at times it did get a bit slippery and a few saddles moved on to the neck of the horse which caused some anxiety. Graham did this until his health would no longer allow this to happen.
This year’s ride was the original route chosen by Graham to his and Lorraine’s place – no tractor but we managed.
The Ride left the Show Ground through Stewarts, Errol Sellin’s old place, McKay’s, Heathwood’s old place, Bob Bond’s, Townsend’s, Desley Bond’s, Kevin Sellin’s, Freds Road, Mt Mee Rd, down the track to Lorraine’s house for lunch.
Melaine had a great lunch ready with a huge selection of sandwiches, yummy dessert, some lollies and chocolates, (Bodie thought they were great) tea, coffee, soft drinks and water.
We extended our thanks to Lorraine for the venue and to Greg for cleaning and the seating.
Lunch over, we returned via Kuhns, Rowley‘s, Desley Bonds, Ross & Debby Sellins, Desley Bond home place, Hamilton Rd, McKay’s, Craig’s, Stewart’s and the 11 riders were safely home
