Paul and Judy have lived at Ocean View for the last ten years and have been commuting to work in various parts of the greater Brisbane area during this time. Annette has been working with Paul for the last 9 ½ years at Bribie Island.
Dr Mattiussi graduated from the University of Queensland in 1991 and worked in both the public system and for the last 10 years in private practice.
Starting as the school dentist in the Torres Strait, he moved on to Gladstone where he became Principal Dentist for the Gladstone and Biloela areas.
He started working at Bribie Island in 1999 when he and Judy moved to Ocean View.
Paul has a passion for dental implants and laser dentistry. He is a member of the Australian Dental Association and a number of implant and laser associations. He is also a member of the Australian Society of Forensic Odontology, and has received an Australian Federal Police Operations medal for his work in Thailand after the 2004 Boxing Day Tsunami. Paul is also one of a small number of dentists who have completed the Level IV Accreditation with the Australian Society of Implant Dentistry – Advanced implant placement/Advanced Anatomy.
Judy is a registered nurse and endorsed midwife, and is looking forward to assisting and working with Paul in their new surgery.
Annette has been a dental assistant since 1983. She has her Certificate III in Dental Assisting and has extensive experience in all facets of Dentistry.
The Dayboro Dental Centre expects to be open for patients from Monday 31st August. We appreciate the patience of the local community as a number of delays have occurred with construction, mainly due to the recent wet weather.
We are able to offer all facets of general dentistry, and also offer laser dentistry, implant placement and laser whitening. We will also be available by appointment, after normal business hours and on some Saturdays.
We have constructed a state of the art dental surgery, equipped with digital x-rays, intraoral cameras and lasers which are able to treat both hard (teeth) and soft tissue (gums) and whiten your teeth. We also have an OPG machine which can take a digital x-ray of your entire mouth, a procedure which often required the patient to visit a radiology clinic. This machine is upgradeable, so that in the future we will be able to take a 3 dimensional image of your head. Digital x-rays require a much lower dose of radiation and are therefore safer for our patients.
We use only white filling materials as most people do not like black teeth or fillings. We have a HICAPS machine which will allow our patients to immediately claim for their dental treatment from their health funds.
We participate in the Teen Dental Medicare scheme and also welcome any Veteran Affairs patients.
Our motto is “Your Family Dentist” and welcome patients from any age group. From your child’s first appointment, to replacing those missing teeth lost in years gone by we can offer a treatment to suit you needs. We can also make mouth guards, dentures and bite splints to protect your teeth from grinding. or brighten your smile with laser whitening, veneers or crowns.
