CONGRATULATIONS DAYBORO PLAYERS!

Top marks to the Dayboro Players for putting on 2 nights of great entertainment on September 11 and 12 in 2015.  The Friday and  Saturday performances each drew an audience in excess of 100, with Saturday being almost sold out.

Check out the ‘normal’ faces of the cast and crew who had you practically rolling on the floor laughing!  “The Last Resort” certainly tickled the audience’s funny-bones.  This play, written by Judith Prior, brought forth great performances from the Dayboro Players – from first-timers, to those who returned for their second season, to seasoned performers alike.  This Bundaberg play writer has consistently been a popular choice with the Dayboro Players.

A delicious 2-course meal and a deliciously funny show, peppered with local references – and always some decidedly wicked off-script moments – really does make it a great night out, especially if you are in the company of friends.

Director, Sarah Ashby, was full of smiles and so proud of her troupe.  Those winter nights spent practicing at the cold and cavernous Dayboro Hall, whilst others were snug and warm in their homes, has certainly paid off with the feedback of audience enjoyment . . . the spontaneous laughter and the many congratulations received later.

If you missed this year’s show, I’m sure you regret it now. . . . Just watch for information about next year’s performance and get in early to book a table for you and your friends.
