Christmas Concert at Pine Rivers Park
on December 12
Award winning hit songstress Jenny Morris will help spread the festive cheer when Moreton Bay Regional Council hosts its annual Christmas concert at Pine Rivers Park on Saturday, December 12.
Families are invited to celebrate the jolly season by bringing a picnic blanket and cushions along to the free council concert from 6pm to 9pm.
Jenny Morris, who has twice won the Aria’s Best Female Artist award, and her band will perform at the free concert, with stacks of entertainment for the whole family including an Ice Age 3 stage show, a spectacular fireworks display from 9pm and of course a traditional Christmas carol sing-along with the Pine Rivers Musical Association choir.
Mayor Allan Sutherland said families should head along to council’s Christmas parade prior to the concert, with a colourful convoy making its way from Learmonth Street at 5.30pm to the Pine Rivers Park Amphitheatre.
“This is the 14th annual Pine Rivers Christmas Parade and Concert and it’s a great community event for families to come together to celebrate the spirit of the season,” the Mayor said.
“Families will enjoy the parade, featuring elves, marching toy soldiers, Rudolph the red-nosed reindeer and Santa himself.
“The concert at Pine Rivers Park will entertain everyone with Jenny Morris and band, performances by local artists and a fireworks show to light up the night sky at 9pm.”
“There will be food stalls offering a variety of dishes and heaps of exciting $2 rides for the kids.”
