Moreton Bay region residents affected by the recent floods can register to have flood-damaged household waste collected via a kerbside collection service.
The service is limited to flood affected residents only and does not cover green waste.
Mayor Allan Sutherland said affected residents just needed to call 3205 0555 to register for the service.
“The service is designed to assist their recovery from last week’s major deluge,” he said.

Recent heavy rain has flushed waterweed out of catchment areas to areas including Hays Inlet, Pine River estuaries, Bramble Bay and along the Redcliffe foreshore.
A Moreton Bay Regional Council spokesperson said the floating aquatic plant has been identified as Water hyacinth Eichhorina crassipes.
