COUNCIL PROVIDES FLOOD DAMAGE COLLECTION SERVICE June09

The service is limited to flood affected residents only and does not cover green waste.
Mayor Allan Sutherland said affected residents just needed to call 3205 0555 to register for the service.
“The service is designed to assist their recovery from last week’s major deluge,” he said.

WATER HYACINTH FLUSHED OUT BY RAIN POSES NO THREAT June09

A Moreton Bay Regional Council spokesperson said the floating aquatic plant has been identified as Water hyacinth Eichhorina crassipes.
