Senator for Queensland Mark Furner today urged Australians to have their say on future government funding arrangements for Australia’s schools, with the last day for submissions Thursday, 31 March 2011.

Preliminary flood mapping for the parts of the region have now been up-loaded to the Moreton Bay Regional Council website.
Mayor Allan Sutherland said the one-in-one-hundred year flood maps were preliminary but would be progressively updated over coming months.

It has been reported to me that some users of the Dayboro skate facility next to the pool are having some difficulty in understanding and complying with advice from some parents and the police to use the bins provided to dispose of their rubbish.

Moreton Bay Regional Council has asked the Queensland Government to delay the release of site valuations by 12 months, to help ease the impact of recent flooding.

Moreton Bay Regional Council is investigating the possibility of purchasing the Queensland Folk Federation’s Woodfordia site near Woodford.
