Moreton Bay Regional Council has launched its Local Disaster Management Plan for 2011/12. 
Residents across the Moreton Bay region are being encouraged to share the gift of literacy and make a difference to children’s lives this Christmas by donating a book to The Smith Family’s Wishing Well Christmas Appeal.
Moreton Bay Regional Council has launched the first official Community Plan for the region.
Mayor Allan Sutherland said more than 4,500 survey responses and eight public forums had helped shape the plan.
