Moreton Bay Regional Council has launched its Local Disaster Management Plan for 2011/12. Mayor Allan Sutherland said the plan had been adopted by council following an annual review, as required by the Queensland Government.

Mayor Allan Sutherland said the ‘Whispir’ system will be operated in partnership with Telstra to deliver text message, voice message, e-mail, web and social media alerts to registered users.
