That mid-August rain was just glorious – we had over 80mm on our Kalahari Downs.  It has topped the dams and freshened the grass with a little early shoot that even the westerly can’t discourage.  Let’s hope that our good fortune continues!

Dayboro’s own mini-Oktoberfest is happening again this year at the Memorial Showgrounds on Saturday 16th October from 6.30pm for nibblies with a two course meal following at approximately 7pm.  This is followed by tea and coffee and more German food.  Tickets are $25.00 per person and bookings can be made by phoning Val on 3425 1424.
