Mar2011 CYCLIST AWARE PROGRAM

Dayboro Police are currently conducting a program aimed at both cyclists and vehicle drivers.    We are approaching individual riders as well as clubs to pass on a message about the main complaints we receive about cyclists – multiple riders across the road and difficulties in passing groups of riders.  We have also increased patrols of peak riding times to identify any inappropriate riding habits.

Mar2011 Free flood recovery plant pathology diagnostic service

Growers are encouraged to take advantage of a free plant disease diagnostic service set up to help identify and target diseases in horticultural crops affected by recent floods and wet weather.
Agri-Science Queensland principal plant pathologist Denis Persley said the Department of Employment, Economic Development and Innovation (DEEDI) was keen to provide this service as part of its flood recovery response to help growers make the best crop protection decisions.
