Dec2011_Dogs have their day in Dayboro

Thirty dogs, from backyard crossbreeds to obedience champs, converged on Dayboro last weekend for their "last dance" of the year.
Recognised as an official Australian dog sport just two years ago, Dances with Dogs (DWD) enables handlers and their dogs to demonstrate a skilful, choreographed routine, performed to music.

Nov2011_RESIDENTS URGED TO WATCH THEIR WATER USE AS WEATHER HOTS UP

With the onset of the warmer months, Unitywater is encouraging its customers across Moreton Bay and the Sunshine Coast to be conscious of their water consumption.
Executive Manager Retail, Judy Bailey, said water consumption was already on the rise and historically there was a marked increase during spring and summer when residents were spending more time outdoors.

Dear Editor,
Has the RACQ lost its mind?  In mid-October, I called the RACQ for roadside assistance from our home address in Samsonvale (half way between Samford and Dayboro).  After one hour I received a call to say that the patrol, which had been dispatched from Kilcoy an hour earlier (!!!!), was still half an hour away.
