STORM SEASON
Are you ready for the storm season?  We all know what the next 4-5 months of weather can bring to our district.  Dayboro police are urging all residents (especially those who are in areas of our district that are prone to flooding) to prepare for extreme weather should another significant weather event occur in South East QLD.  This means ensure you and your family are prepared for a disruption in electricity and water supply and becoming isolated in your house due to road damage caused by flooding.  Please ensure you take all pre-cautions you feel necessary as a result of what occurred in January this year.  For more information please visit www.stormwise.com.au

Lachlan James Yates Craig and Rebecca Yates of Mt Pleasant wish to announce the birth of their son Lachlan James Yates. Lachlan was born 21 September 2011 at North West Private Hospital weighing in at 8lb.  A little brother for Makayla.

Dear Editor,
Has the RACQ lost its mind?  In mid-October, I called the RACQ for roadside assistance from our home address in Samsonvale (half way between Samford and Dayboro).  After one hour I received a call to say that the patrol, which had been dispatched from Kilcoy an hour earlier (!!!!), was still half an hour away.
