Crystal has lived in Dayboro her whole life, and so too have her father and his parents.  
Crystal attended Dayboro State School from preschool to year 7, graduating year 7 at Dayboro in 2011.

“Love Thy Neighbour” 
Last week I had the privilege and honour of conducting the funeral of a neighbour of ours here in Dayboro.  I was amazed that nearly all of the neighbours in the nearby streets turned out for the service, such was the love, appreciation and respect that this dear lady and her husband command in the area.  What is the value of a good neighbour?  It’s beyond price, I reckon.

There is still grass about but it will be a tight winter.  Here’s hoping for an early spring!  If you are lucky enough to have fat cattle, and if you are lucky enough to have them booked for slaughter, then your prospects are good.  If you will need to reduce numbers by selling store cattle then God help you, the store market remains awful.

Jun2014_DAYBORO POLICE NEWS

Property Offences
Over the last month a generator was reported stolen from a shed in Morris Street and food items were stolen from a property at Cedar Creek after entry was gained through an unlocked door. 
Overnight on 17th May entry was made to an Ocean View Road house by removing the screen and entering open window.  A computer, mobile phones, cash and cards were stolen.

June2014_Pine Rivers VIEW Club News

The Pine Rivers VIEW Club meets on the 3rd Wednesday of the month at the Murrumba Downs Tavern, Griffin room.  New members and guests are always welcome to come for lunch.  We meet at 10.30 for an 11 o’clock start.  We are having as a speaker Bruce Uhlhorn who is the chairperson of Radio Lollipop which has been broadcasting to children in hospital for about 25 years.

The U3A Pine Rivers will be holding their monthly social and information meeting on Friday 20th June 2014 starting at 10.00am and we are back at Bray Hall Cnr Cooke and O’Loan Sts., Petrie.  A computer expo is on – showcasing classes we hold in Photo Editing/Photoshop/Internet, Webmail & Email/Laptop -folders, photos and Electronic Family Research,  iPad and Tablets.

Homeowners and electricians are urged to check their solar power system after Attorney-General Jarrod Bleijie issued a recall order on certain Avenco branded DC solar power isolators that were found to have an internal fault that can lead to overheating and fire.
