Nov2014_Pine Rivers VIEW News

The Pine Rivers View Club held a very successful annual Games Day at the beginning of October.  Doris ,who organised the day, presented prizes to the winners Bessie and Joy.  The 16 members and 4 granddaughters showed their skills at tiddlywinks , quoit throwing, tenpin bowling (with a twist) and other non lethal games!

Dear Editor,
Request For A Fire Water Main.
I feel this is very important to all parents whose children play and train in the Dayboro Showgrounds precinct.
On 29 June this year, I lodged a customer request with Moreton Bay Regional Council and UnityWater and, to date, I have received two phone calls from UnityWater (and they didn’t seem too interested) and one call from MBRC reminding me that anything to do with water is now a UnityWater matter.

Juliette Ashby of Ocean View has been named as one of the two School Captains of Aviation High, Clayfield for 2014/15.  Juliette has attended the school since 2008 and wanted to go there because the school has strong links with the aviation industry and fantastic facilities for the would-be aviator.

U3A Pine Rivers Inc will be holding their OPEN DAY on Friday 21st November 2014, at the Community Hall, Mecklem Street, Strathpine.  We will be open for business from 9.30am to 12.30pm.  We will have all course tutors on hand to answer any questions; the membership officer if you wish to join and the treasurer to take your payments be it for membership, bus trips or theatre outings and current committee members to answer any other questions you may have.

Nov2014_DAYBORO POLICE NEWS

Property crime
On 14th October a chainsaw, blower, whipper snipper and other items were stolen from a shed at Armstrong Creek.
On Saturday 4th October during daylight hours, entry was forced to a house on Kundes Road at Mount Samson.  Jewellery and electronic items were stolen.
