The Dayboro A.H. & I. Ladies Auxiliary are holding this year’s Deb. Ball on Saturday 19th September 2009.

Locals restoring the 84 year old Cedar Creek Public Hall have been overwhelmed with the interest from all the surrounding districts including Samsonvale, Kobble, Dayboro and beyond.
Thanks go to the more than three hundred people who turned out to share a mug of soup and some laughs with each other on the Queen’s Birthday Monday in June.

KOALAS ON THE BRINK OF EXTINCTION
Attendees travelled from the Sunshine Coast, Caboolture and Pine Rivers to the Koala Conservation Conference held in water-logged Lismore on Friday 22/5/09.
Continued habitat loss, disease and ineffective legislation, at every level of government, are driving the koala to extinction.

On Anzac Day 2009
The support for the Dawn Service continues to increase with the numbers around 250 people attending. Dr. Paul Inglis from the Uniting Church conducted the service. Thanks to the boys who entertained us leading up to the service with their rendition of Redgum’s “I was Only Nineteen”. The Dawn Service has its origins in an operational routine which is still practiced by the Australian Army today.
