September was a busy month for Mountain people.

POLICE NEWS Oct 09

logo_police.gifOn 4th September 2009 during daylight hours, entry was forced to the rear sliding glass door of a residence on Sunrise Drive, Oceanview.  No property was stolen.  A late model gold Magna sedan was seen in the vicinity around mid-day.

PET OF THE MONTH Oct 09

at OLD MILL VET SURGERY

This month we want to celebrate “Sam” Byrnes, a patient of Dr Slade Walker for the past 6 years. Sam defied all the odds and statistics of oncologists, and beat one deadly cancer 5 years ago with the help of his amazingly dedicated owner Teresa.  At the ripe age of 15, he unfortunately succumbed to another type of cancer, despite again going through specialist surgery and radiation therapy.  Thank you Sam for all the smiles and tail wags over the years, we will miss you greatly!

WEDDING – Carly and Brett

Carly Heathwood and Brett Roberts were married on Saturday, 12th September at the Henzell’s Chapel at Mt Pleasant.  The ceremony included their two children, Cody and Lacey with the four of them exchanging rings.
The wedding party included 4 bridesmaids and 4 groomsmen, 2 flower girls, Lacey as a little cherub in wings and Cody as page boy.
