As part of a Bushcare team, volunteers help with tree planting, mulching, weed control and plant identification as well as regenerating bushland, wetlands and waterways.
Mayor Allan Sutherland said dedicated volunteers were working throughout the region to improve and conserve local bushland.
“Each Bushcare team has volunteers who are passionate about their community and want to create a healthy and sustainable local environment,” Cr Sutherland said.
“Joining a Bushcare group is a great way to make a real difference to your community and socialise with like-minded people.”
