Aug2014_DAYBORO SHOW and the TRAUMA TEDDIES
What a lovely array of cuddly teddies to help kids when they need the assistance of the ambulance or police.
The Dayboro show needleworkers got their fingers busy knitting, crocheting and sewing to create 68 teddies of all different shapes and sizes for the local emergency services. The children who visited the show were invited to guess the number of teddies hanging on the tower, congratulations to Ayden, Amelia, Chloe and Chelsea.
Champion Crochet entry was from Carolyn Stacey with a wonderful crocheted jacket.
Champion Knitting entry was Eileen Feldman’s knitted farm doll.
Champion Stitchery entry was Carol Sharman’s wonderful framed ribbon embroidery.
Champion Miscellaneous exhibit was Laraine Bobbermien’s 3 little pigs and the bad wolf.
The local Champion exhibit was from Bev Johnson for her lovely cross stitch- Bev is a deserving winner, being one of our helpful stewards.
Champion quilt was a spectacular quilt from Anne Schokker.
Thank you to all the people who donated teddies and to all the entrants whose entries helped make an interesting display for the weekend. As usual a big thank you to all our sponsors.
