A regional military history – Queensland Mounted Infantry, Boer War, Redcliffe Anzacs, and Camp Strathpine:
Moreton Bay Regional Council local studies librarians Rod Pratt, Pat Gee and Leith Barter will discuss the region’s involvement in military matters.

26 March – 16 May:  The Dayboro Story: the first 100 years 1866-1966
The fascinating history of one of Queensland’s prettiest townships.  Find out about the earliest settlers of Rush Creek, Laceys Creek, Mt Pleasant and Fishery Pocket, learn about the businesses that made the town and discover the people who loved to dance ‘til dawn.
14 April – 31 May:  Anzac Day – Camp Strathpine
The 2010 Anzac Display at the Pine Rivers Heritage Museum will explore a number of stories of local involvement in the First World War.  A new permanent display opening at the same time will focus on the history of Camp Strathpine, an American and Australian military base during the Second World War.
23 April – 1 August:  Fun with Weights and Measures
Hands on exhibition.  From hogsheads to pinches, sundials to water clocks, cubits to rods, and chains to furlongs.  The strange ways we have measured length, weight, time, temperature and volume.
