April 2010 . . Get listed, be exposed
Get listed and join more than 4,500 businesses currently using one of the Moreton Bay region’s largest local on-line directories.
Mayor Allan Sutherland said Moreton Bay Regional Council’s business directory was a free service which exposed local organisations to local customers.
“It only takes a few minutes to register and it’s an easy way to promote your business, and the goods and services you offer,” Mayor Sutherland said.
“There are more and more businesses and residents wanting to shop locally, and this delivers the perfect tool to do just that without the hefty price tag for operators.”
Luke Seymour of WOW Event Management said council’s on-line directory had become an extremely useful resource for his business.
“The directory has helped expose WOW to a range of local clients – from residents to other organisations in the Moreton Bay region,” Mr Seymour said.
“As the area continues to grow, it’s easy to see this directory becoming a one-stop-shop for people wanting local services.
“But this is more than just a listing on a computer screen – you also receive up-to-date information on government programs, projects and grants which are relevant to your business.
“It definitely pays to be part of Council’s on-line directory.”
Mayor Sutherland said by registering, council could identify and tailor-make support for local businesses with exports, imports and other opportunities.
“You will also receive information on upcoming events and programs which may help boost your business,” he said.
Businesses listed with the former Caboolture, Pine Rivers or Redcliffe directories have been transferred to the new region-wide directory.
The directory is available via council’s website. For more information or to register your business email economic@moretonbay.qld.gov.au call 3480 9941 or visit www.moretonbay.qld.gov.au
