Apr2013_Rendezvous Ramblings

Well 2013 is already disappearing before our eyes.  Already our fourth evening is on the horizon.  Firstly, we would like to thank Therese Steele for sharing her cookbook, The Art of Nourishing, with us.  A truly beautiful night.  Her evening was highlighted with some tasty morsels which we all got to try.

Next we would like to thank Annette and Win Henderson for making the trek back to Rendezvous with Annette’s second book, Scorched.  Scorched is the prequel to Wild Sprit and is about their journey through Africa.  A quote from Annette which summed up the evening:  “My husband, bless his heart, has always said to me: ‘When opportunity knocks, race to the door.’  The world is full of infinite possibilities and to a large extent, what you do with it is up to you.  Always follow your dream.  That’s the best advice I can think of for any person.”
Rendezvous is home to a number of book clubs as well as a dynamic writers group.  It is the writers group, Writers Rendezvous, who are going to share their work with us at our next evening on, Saturday 1st June.  The evening is themed Live, Love, Laugh, and guaranteed to be inspirational.  Writers Rendezvous is a gathering of local aspiring writers who have enjoyed meeting monthly for the past year, to encourage one another in their literary pursuits and improve their skills through innovative and fun writing tasks.  Live, Love, Laugh, offers you an opportunity to meet and hear these clever writers in a relaxed atmosphere as they bravely share original pieces written on the themes Live, Love, Laugh.  Your support and feedback would be appreciated and, as a foretaste, you can get acquainted with their work at www.writersrendezvous.net.  Hope to see you there and remember to book in early.  That is the ramblings for this month.  Remember to . . . .
