Apr2013_KUPIDABIN FAIRY FESTIVAL

Sat 4th May & Sun 5th May  1.30pm – 3.30pm
Kupidabin Fairy Festival will be held at The Lyell Deer Sanctuary, Lyell Court (off Foggs Road) Mt Samson – just 15 minutes from Dayboro.
The Fairy Festival is held twice a year, with a Spring Festival in September.
The Festival commenced in May 2006 as a one day event.  Because of the overwhelming interest it has now developed to a two day celebration where ‘Little Folk’ and ‘Big Folk’ can come and dress for this very important occasion.
This is a traditional Celtic custom of paying respect to the ‘wee’ folk held in a ‘Boomajarril’, Bush Fairy Garden, following a tradition which is held in Ireland every Year.
‘Boomajarril’ is the Aboriginal word for “Place where Fairies Congregate”.
This garden has been created within an area of land protected under the State Government Environmental Protection Act (E.P.A.) as a place of unique rural significance.
Fairy Lewana and her Friends will share how we can acknowledge and honour the Fairy Folk, who show us how to love and respect what Nature provides for us all.
Fun and Games will be organized for all the children.
A Fairy Face Painter will be in attendance.
Special treat this year – Meet “Jakey” our orphan baby deer.
A Fairy Feast is provided for all ‘Little Folk’ and ‘Big Folk’.
