Apr2011_Urban Country stars rack up hits
The headline performer at this year’s Urban Country Music Festival Saturday night concert, American star Joe Nichols, blasted onto the ARIA Country Music Charts in mid-March.
His Greatest Hits album, which features his current single, The Shape I’m In, as well as the single, Tequila Makes Her Clothes Fall Off, has entered the charts at number 7.
Nichols is also attracting attention with I’ll Try Anything – a duet with Australian Country Music sensation Jasmine Rae. The single appears on Rae’s new album Listen Here that debuted at number 3 this week.
Chart success continues to flow for fellow Urban Country performers, The McClymonts, whose album, Wrapped Up Good, is holding strong at number 14 after nearly a year of listings and a stint at the number one spot on the ARIA country albums chart.
