DAY 1 – Adelaide Ghan. Flight from Brisbane at 6.30am to Adelaide, transfer via Sky-link to board the Ghan at 12.20pm. Meals on Ghan at own cost. Sleep on train.
DAY 2 – Town like Alice. 1.15pm Meet drive at Alice Springs Rail Station to commence Town Tour. Take in Telegraph Station, Royal Flying Doctor Service, Alice Springs Reptile Park and panoramic views from Anzac Hill. Back to Ghan Rail Station in time to board, to continue on to Darwin. Meals on Ghan at own cost. Sleep on train.
DAY 3 – Katherine and Darwin. 9am arrive in Katherine for short stop over before continuing on to Darwin. Arrive Darwin 6pm. Transferred to accommodation at Mantra Esplanade, Darwin (Hotel City Room). Meals: At own cost.
DAY 4 – Darwin City Sights Tour after a full breakfast at your accommodation. Expert commentary by a local guide. Visit Botanical Gardens and tour the historic sights of the city. See Stokes Hill Wharf area and the Mooring Basin and perhaps have time to explore the Museum and Art Gallery of the Northern Territory. Return to accommodation at 1pm for free afternoon. Meals: Breakfast. Stay night at Mantra. (Standard Room)
DAY 5 – Litchfield National Park. Full breakfast at accommodation. Bush walks, swimming and photo opportunities. 6pm return to accommodation, Mantra (Standard Room). Meals: Breakfast and Picnic Lunch.
DAY 6 – Kakadu National Park. 6.30am start for a full day at Kakadu, Opportunity to stop along the way to purchase breakfast (own expense). You will see plenty of native wildlife, ancient Aboriginal rock art. Local guide for a cruise on Yellow Water Billabong – search for ‘salties’ and colourful bird life for which the region is renowned. Visit Warradjan Aboriginal Cultural Centre to view displays depicting the traditions of the Aboriginal people in Kakadu, before returning to Darwin – approx 7pm. Meals: Buffet lunch. Accommodation at Mantra (Standard Room).
DAY 7 – Homeward Bound today. Full breakfast at accommodation. Transfer to Darwin Airport at 12pm. Depart Darwin 1.20pm to arrive in Brisbane at 5.30pm. Meals: Breakfast.
