What‘s happening at Rendezvous this month?
Firstly we are very pleased to have organised a writers group in Dayboro. The initial meeting of The Dayboro Writing Group was held on the 21st of March at Rendezvous.
Firstly we are very pleased to have organised a writers group in Dayboro. The initial meeting of The Dayboro Writing Group was held on the 21st of March at Rendezvous.
With everybody so busy these days, finding a time and place for like-minded people to get together to learn and share their passion for writing, has been no small achievement. Whether you are a poet, journalist, biographer or budding novelist, all are welcome. Please email Vicki Stevens at vickitorious@bigpond.com for more details on future meetings. Rendezvous is very excited to be presenting an Evening with Edwina Shaw. Edwina is a Brisbane based author who has written a novel for teens and adults. This gritty Australian story with universal themes is a riveting tale of life’s complexities and the sometimes devastating consequences of choices.
Edwina launched her novel last month at Avid Reader in West End selling over 150 copies. Wow! Rendezvous is very excited to have Edwina come to Dayboro to continue the launch and we would love you to join us for a Wine and Cheese Evening while listening to her journey as a successful, emerging, contemporary author.
This Event will be held Saturday the 19 May, 6.30pm for a 7pm start. Tickets will be $25.00 per head and include refreshments. Remember to purchase tickets early as this is guaranteed to be a popular evening.
Also do not forget our Chai and Chat mornings held the first Tuesday of every month. A spiritual gathering hosted by Ayurvedic councillor Linda Conyard.
