Noodle is one brave chicken. The Sussex cross badly dislocated her toe earlier this year, leaving Old Mill Vet Dr Annika Walker with no alternative but to amputate the toe.
Noodle is one brave chicken. The Sussex cross badly dislocated her toe earlier this year, leaving Old Mill Vet Dr Annika Walker with no alternative but to amputate the toe.
While the operation went well, the real sign of success would come in the days following when she learned to walk on her remaining two toes.
Noodle now sports a pretty pink toe strapping and is adjusting well to the situation. When Dr Annika did her check up this month, Noodle showed good balance and posed happily for our camera. We’re told she has once again joined her feathered friends on the perch at home.
