Apr12_AUDIT OF PERFORMANCE VENUES
Hello All Performing Arts Organisations Actors, Playwrights, Directors, Designers, Musicians, Choreographers, Theatre Technicians and other interested parties throughout the Moreton Bay region,
Further to the 27 October 2011 appointment of Perat Theatre Services (Principal: Ian Perkins) to undertake an audit of several MBRC community facilities for their performing arts potential, may I encourage you to attend a region-wide theatre workshop scheduled for 2.00pm on Saturday 19th May, 2012.
All individuals interested in existing and future performing arts opportunities within the Moreton Bay region are invited to participate in a community engagement workshop from 2.00pm to 5.00pm on Saturday 19th May at the North Lakes State College (corner of Discovery Drive and Joyner Circuit) Performing Arts Centre (enter via Joyner Circuit) North Lakes.
This initiative arises from Council’s adoption of its Cultural Strategy 2010-2013 "Richer than the sum of its pARTS" (see Creative Places, Building Infrastructure, Future Directions, Priority Strategies). At the Saturday 19th May Workshop Perat Theatre Services will table a DRAFT report on the audit of the Woodford Memorial Hall, Bribie Island Recreation Hall, Burpengary Community Hall and Samford Community Centre to determine their potential for "black box" performing arts programming. Please call MBRC Cultural Services PH: 3283 0486 to register your interest in attending this workshop.
RSVPs on or before Friday 13th April will be appreciated.
