KINDY RECEIVES FUNDING BOOST!
Dayboro Community Kindergarten has received a $5775 boost after successfully securing community grant funding from Moreton Bay Regional Council.
The contribution from Moreton Bay Regional Council has been used to install a water bore, pump and reticulation system to support the Kindergarten’s sustainability program.
Robyn Hoban, Director of Dayboro Community Kindergarten, thanked Moreton Bay Regional Council for their support, together with local contractors, S.H. Scells (Neville Scells – drilling and pumping consultant) and Glen and Karen McCarthy from Mondo Cabling Pty Ltd for the installation of electrical work needed for the project.
In thanking Council for their support, members of the Kindergarten Committee said “Dayboro Kindy is very proud of its comprehensive and well-established sustainability program that takes sustainability education for the pre-Prep age-group to new levels.  Rather than simply discussing the basics of sustainability – such as recycling and water conservation – the Kindy’s program is integrated, hands-on and holistic in its approach.  The installation of the bore, made possible through Council’s funding, helps make Dayboro a more sustainable community.”
