Mar2012_OUR FAREWELL TO TROY
Mardi and Troy Nowitzki, are all smiles, looking forward to the move to St George. There was regret expressed at leaving Dayboro, and kind words said about the wonderful community we have here.
Gathered together to wish Troy and his family well and express their appreciation for the work he has done in this community were 120 people. Specially printed t-shirts, framed certificates, a crafted art piece, a special cake from Dayboro Bakery and items collected from local businesses and groups – to remind Troy of his time at Dayboro – accompanied by some great stories, made for much merriment. Cr Bob Millar, unable to attend, sent a glowing letter of thanks which was read aloud.
The Dayboro Bowls Club generously provided a BBQ and invited everyone to try their hand at bowls.
We’ll miss you Troy. Farewell to Troy, Mardi and Leith. We hope you make your way back here in the future.
