Mar2012_CONGRATULATIONS DOCTOR MATTHEW MILLS
Our family is proud to introduce Dr Matthew Mills who received his Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery at the University of Queensland on 16 December 2011.
Matthew is the son of Heather McGregor and son-in-law of Jeff McGregor, brother of Sarah Mills and proposed brother-in-law Paul Kelly, grandson of Des and Edna Wruck and nephew of Laurel and Neville Goddard and Steven and Lyn Wruck, all of Dayboro. Matthew’s schooling started while his family was located in Sierra Leone, West Africa, then to Pimpama State School on the Gold Coast for years 1, 2 and 3. For years 4, 5 and part year 6 Matthew was schooled via Correspondence School while his family was located in India from there returning to finish his primary education at Dayboro State School. A special thank you to Mrs Joan Kilby who nurtured Matthew’s enquiring mind and provided endless encouragement. Matthew concluded his secondary schooling at Brisbane Boys College then went on to achieve a Bachelor of Pharmacy at University of Queensland. However, Matthew always felt he could achieve more and help his fellow mankind more, so after practicing as a pharmacist for 3 years, he returned to UQ and commenced his medical degree. Matthew is currently an intern at Ipswich Hospital.
