– EXPERIENCED IN OUR LOCAL AREA
It’s not everyday a helicopter pumps water from your dam, but that’s what happened Thursday 10 November 2011 at a nearby fire at Armstrong Creek.

With the bush fire season upon us, the Fire Department sent their helicopter crew to a nearby fire (that was under control) to give them some training.

Whilst circling and assessing the fire, the chopper crew must have spied our dam a lot closer than Lake Samsonvale for a refill. Not once but four times did they use the dam to refill. It certainly was something to see, the skill and precision they have is pretty awesome.

I must also mention the awesome job the Rural Firefighters, the regular firefighters and other emergency service guys did. My husband and neighbour also did a great job with their tractors and water pumps. Thank you everyone, give yourselves a pat on the back. You deserve it.
